Neville & Isobel Willerton

Mission: Church Army

Place: Belfast, N Ireland

Nev and Isabel moved to Dromore last summer to take up Nev’s new post with the Church Army. He is now working with an organisation called Summer Madness, which is a Christian Youth Festival held in Belfast each year. From this has developed Streetreach which has harnessed the enthusiasm and gifting of many of those young people into community projects in some of the most difficult areas of Belfast, on both sides of the divide.

The work includes tidying up of estates, doing the gardens of elderly people, organising events for young people and generally having a Christian presence in places like the Lower Falls and the Shankill. Streetreach works closely with local churches, community centres, the Police, and the City Council to learn about appropriate activities.

Nev is heading up this important work and asks for prayer to sustain him, especially this coming summer.

There is now an addition to the Willerton family. Aimee Louise was born in June, so it has been a year of great change for them, a new job, new house and a new baby!
